ViVa! Victoria Latin Fest

Viva Victoria Latin Fest is an annual festival that brings together artists, musicians, dance performers and food vendors from different Latin American countries for a one day family friendly festival.                      This year’s   Viva Victoria Latin Fest will take place in Centennial Square on Saturday, August 3rd2019 from 12 noon-6pm. Everyone is welcome and the festival is a free event.

The festival recreates the atmosphere of a vibrant city plaza in Latin America. The arts and culture showcased during this event includes live musical bands, traditional and contemporary Latin American dancers, kids’ activities, Zumba classes, international and local Latin American cuisine, and a beverage garden. Last year the ViVa Victoria Latin Fest filled Centennial Square with more than 2500 people from greater Victoria and tourists.

Since 2015 my organization - Pachanga Latina Productions - has had successes in organizing and hosting Latin American cultural events in Centennial Square and other venues.  The events, including this year’s Viva Victoria Latin Fest - will be covered by the local media (i.e. Times Colonist, CHEK -TV , CFUV radio, etc) and it is also vigorously promoted through posters at local businesses and social media campaigns.

In 2018, Pachanga Latina Productions partnered with Victoria-based not-for-profit Here Magazine to bring Viva Victoria Latin Fest to downtown Victoria. Here Magazine is a multimedia platform for newcomer and immigrants voices and an organization whose values of celebrating diversity and creating a welcoming and inclusive city align closely with ours. We are proud to continue this partnership at the 2nd Annual Viva Victoria Latin Fest.
